Okazaki Park, centered on Okazaki Castle and the Mikawa Bushi and Ieyasu Museum,is a park of history and culture. The park is home to many spots that are said to bring good luck. The park is also famous for being a notable place to view cherry blossoms and the cherry blossoms illuminated in the evenings are especially beautiful.
1,300 square meters of the south side of Okazaki Park are called“ gomangoku wisteria,”and the flowers have long clusters that cover the trellises with a stunning purple. The sweet fragrance of the flowers draws many visitors every year.
